WORK AT KFORCE!

Consultant of the Quarter: Estela Moshos

As a first-time consultant, Estela Moshos entered an accounting department in a state of transition.  With recent turnover and a new controller in place, she was faced with a challenge from day one.  Overcoming it, however, was second nature to Moshos, whose positive attitude and dedication in the face of change has earned her the title of Kforce Consultant of the Quarter.

Two months into her assignment with Community Hospital of Long Beach, Moshos has proven to be a valuable asset to the organization.  She was quick to excel at her many responsibilities, including completion of general ledger entries and allocations, preparation of financial and statistical reports for internal and external use, analysis of accounts and other various accounting tasks.

“Estela is a pleasure to work with,” said Moshos’ supervisor, Eileen Fisler, interim controller, Community Hospital.  “She required no training and has actually taken it upon herself to train the staff accountants.  She is resourceful and eager to learn, a self-starter, very easy to get along with and well-liked by everyone.”

Maintaining a positive attitude while tackling new challenges, Moshos has taken the lead in guiding the staff accountants in assisting Fisler.  She attributes this new responsibility to her commitment to completing the task at hand and willingness to do so with a smile on her face.

“I take the approach that I am here to help.  Any work that needs to be done, I am willing to do it, even if that means putting in overtime,” she said.

Her strong work ethic has not gone unnoticed by the Culver City, CA Kforce team, which considers Moshos a valuable asset to its team of Finance & Accounting professionals.

“Estela does whatever it takes to get the job done, even during times of turnover and change within the hospital.  She has worked overtime when it’s needed to get the work done and meet tight deadlines, and her work is accurate and done well,” said David Grasso, Mosho’s account manager with Kforce.  “Estella has gone above and beyond in her assignment, earned the respect of her peers and manager and become a leader in the group.”

For Moshos, her first assignment with Kforce has been a dream.

“I have been very lucky to work with David and John,” she said.  “They have been great.  They are easy to get a hold of and always respond to my calls quickly.  Everyone has been very easy to get along with.”

Her advice to other consultants?  “Take advantage of the opportunity to learn from every assignment, and apply what you have learned to your next job or career.”

In the second quarter of 2010, several other consultants also exemplified outstanding performance.  We would like to recognize the contributions the following have made to both Kforce Finance & Accounting and our clients: Charles Carter, Texas General Land Office; Susan Carthan, Texas General Land Office; Rick Frese, Thermo Fisher Scientific; George Gonzalez, Loomis, Sayles, & Co.; Marc Kornheiser, National Australia Bank; David Mark LeCray, USAA; Cletis Shelby, Cisco; and Damien Slaughter, Wells Fargo.
