Qualified Professionals Save Client’s Reputation
Situation
As part of their Sarbanes Oxley compliance, our client, a global government consulting firm, needed to implement new software quickly. In their rush, they chose not to perform parallel testing. During a Revenue Recognition Project, their auditors arrived and began uncovering potential deficiencies in the financial reporting system and the reporting of contract revenue in the second quarter of 2004. This was attributed, in part, to the lack of testing. The auditors needed the problem to be fixed immediately. Initially, the Project Manager went to Kforce and the Big 4 for answers. Ultimately, they chose a low cost solution provider who failed to deliver a solution that met their deficiencies.
Solution
Even though Kforce was not chosen initially, we never stopped supporting our client. We provided resumes for senior level professionals and communicated with the consultants we had on assignment. This continued support resulted in a visit where Kforce was able to provide the resumes of 25 senior level professionals, all immediately available and all with the skills that our client required to meet their need.
Outcome
Ultimately, Kforce filled all 65 positions for the project. The revenue was accounted for and the auditors received the confirmation they needed. The client was saved from de-listing and suffering public relations issues as a result.
