Unique Skills Needed and Found During Difficult Period
Situation
During the previous year’s Sarbanes Oxley compliance process, our client noted a significant deficiency in revenue. As part of the following year’s compliance, they embarked on a Revenue Remediation Project, hiring a team of consultants to review documents and to identify whether all revenue was appropriately accounted for in the proper period. Because a majority of their operation is in Asia, many of their contracts were in Mandarin Chinese. So, not only did they need experienced consultants, but those consultants had to be equally versed in the language and in the US GAAP rules/processes.
Solution
Kforce placed three consultants as part of the company’s previous compliance work, so we were familiar with their 404 project. Because the experience was so positive, the Director of Internal Audit asked us to work on placing these bi-lingual professionals for their current project. Using language as a denominator, our recruiters scoured our database for professionals who possessed the language and the professional skills our client needed. Within just a few weeks, we were able to identify multiple candidates and ultimately placed seven professionals on the project.
Outcome
We were able to find the people the client needed and they were assured their revenue was properly recorded.
